Legal Question in DUI Law in Kentucky

Under 21, blood alchohol level of 0.01

I was going camping and had about 1 1/2 beers. Because of a tornado warning we had to leave and I was with a very intoxicated friend. I had waited 2 hrs before driving and was not pulled over for driving recklessly. I had one headlight out, and that was the reason for being stopped. My friend had an open flask of whiskey on his person and there was beer in the car, which my friend took responsibility for (he is over 21). I was given no field tests other than a Breathalizer at the scene and again at the detention center, both of which came out as 0.01. I was given a minor charge for my headlight being out, but also charged w/ DUI, open container, and possession of alchohol by a minor (am over 18 but not yet 21). Is there much hope of getting these charges lessened or dropped?

The only person that can give you a reliable answer here is the prosecutor of the court in which you are charged. There are no hard and fast rules. I also have not seen a copy of your citation nor spoken with the arresting officer. Local counsel is best here.
