house

my name is the only name on the deed to our house, but she paid for it. just wondering who is the rightful owner when it comes to court

It is not possible to give you a clear legal answer to your inquiry without a more detailed evaluation of the facts of your case. Several questions are presented:

1. Are you married or were you married to the person who made the payments?

2. Did you have a written agreement granting her an ownership interest in the house?

If the answer to both of these questions is "no," then you may consider her payments on the house as gifts, and she would have no ownership interest in the real estate.
