Car title

How do I transfer a car title that is in my deceased husband's name only, into my name. I am the executor of the estate

It is not possible to give you a clear legal answer to your inquiry without a more detailed evaluation of the facts of your case. Several questions are presented:

1. Have you filed your late husband's will for probate in District Court?

2. Were you named in the will as his sole heir?

3. Does the estate owe you anything for such things as funeral or burial expenses?

Generally, you need to fill out a vehicle title transfer form, and attach to it a copy of your Letter of Appointment you received from District Court. You can then take these forms to your local County Clerk's office and transfer the vehicle into your name (provided, of course, that you are the sole heir to your late husband's estate).
