Re: property deed

On simmple thing to do is transfer the property from him to both of you by deed with a right of survivor provision. The other way to accomplish this is through your husband having a will written that leaves the property to you. The former gives you maximum protection and him minimum flexibility because you would both have to sign a new deed to re-transfer the property while he could always re-write his will.

Re: property deed

The quickest way is for your husband to sign a Quitclaim Deed, naming you as a co-owner in joint survivorship. You should contact a Kentucky attorney who can do this for you, and be sure to discuss with the attorney the needs of you and your husband for new last wills and testaments, since your recent marriage may void certain provisions of any wills you or your husband may have previously had.
