Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana

Exempt property and ch. 7 bankruptcy

I am planning on filing Ch. 7 bankruptcy. Does anyone know if i file bankruptcy, will the court take my 1/4 interest in my parents home? I currently live in the home with my father. Do I have to list my 1/4 interest in my father's home as an asset? Can someone tell me what I can do to ensure that I don't lose my interest in the case of my father's death.

You have to list all assets in a bankruptcy petition.

Your best bet is to talk to a qualified bankruptcy attorney who can advise the best way to protect all assets. It is impossible to advise you based on an internet query on how to best protect any asset.
