Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana

I am a shareholder in a County Club that is filing Chaper 11. Do I lose my shareholding rights when this is done?

Probably not. Chapter 11 is a reorganization, not a liquidation like Chapter 7. Nevertheless, they should be informing shareholders of what is going on. I would contact someone with the Board and get some information. Also, bankruptcy filings are public record, so you can go to the courthouse and look them over.
