posting on a billboard

I have not received child support in 10 years. I would like to post a pic and a short message about the non custodial parent on a billboard in her home town. What reprocussions could I potentially suffer from this? As long as the info is true, could it still be viewed as slander?

Truth is always an absolute defense to a charge of libel (written) or slander (spoken), also called defamation. However, there are better methods. You can have the District Attorney's office enforce the Court's order to pay child support with garnishments and seizures. You can also have his licenses (driver's license, hunting and fishing license, business license) all revoked until he comes current on his payments. Lastly, the DA can (and will) petition the Court to have him put in jail if he refuses to come current on his payments.
