Legal Question in Construction Law in Louisiana

I was removed from the project that I was working the inspector told me to say that a pipeline was deep enough and it wasn't and when I wouldn't do it the company I am working for moved me to a different project in a different area is there anything I can do about this

Wow, that is a serious thing. Navigation depends on those underwater maps being very precise and a conspiracy to falsify data for that purpose is quite illegal and could cost someone their life, if some vessel or something ends up striking the line that is mis-mapped. If what you are saying is correct, you may very well qualify for whistleblower protection. Whistleblowers are entitled not only to protection from retaliation (like moving you to a less desirable position), but are also qualified to receive a portion of any fines or fees assessed by the government against the parties who tried to defraud the government. My advice is this: (1) Do not talk to anyone about this for now and (2) talk to an attorney (who is ethically bound to only discuss it with whom you tell him) about filing a whistleblower complaint with the government. You really need to talk to an attorney in person, so you can exchange ALL of the facts and make sure the complaint is valid before you blow that whistle. Nevertheless, if you are sure about this, you should not keep quiet. That could cost someone their life.
