Legal Question in DUI Law in Louisiana

My girlfriend was arrested at a DWI checkpoint this past 4th of July weekend. She was coming home at about 11:30 on a Friday night after having a few beers, and when she came the the checkpoint, a Louisiana State Trooper smelled booze on her breath and asked her if she had had anything to drink - she told him she had drank a couple of beers. She failed the roadside sobriety test, so they took her over to the BAT mobile and breathalyzed her - .134% BAC. The part that sucks is that she already had prior DWI's in 2003 and 2006, so they charged her with DWI 3rd offense. She is a 29 year-old W/F, about 5'6" 120 lbs. What is she looking at in terms of fines, suspensions, jail, ect and what is he best way to proceed with her defense going forward.

P.S. I know what she did is extremely stupid, and I have already yelled at her about 1000 times and told her she should have just called me and I would have come and picked her up. At this point, I am just looking at what steps can be taken now to at least minimize some of the bad things that are undoubtedly going to start happening to her in the near future.

The smartest thing you can do is find her a good criminal defense lawyer and a substance abuse evaluation. We both know that after 2 DWI/DUIs most of us would be very careful knowing that a felony was just around the bend. Those who have a problem seeing this have issues to resolve.
