Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Ex moving out of state

My ex-husband and I have joint custody of our son and I am the domilicary parent. My questions are: can my ex-husband move out of state without informing me? When my ex lived in the same state, me met when it was time for him to pick up our son. Since he moved out of state on his own, do I have to meet him any longer? It is not stated in our custody papers that we are to meet half way, my ex told me since he pays child support, I have to meet him halfway.

Re: Ex moving out of state

Consult a family law attorney about your obligations.

If he moved far enough away to significantly change the reasonableness of the visitation schedule you might be able to reduce his visitation.

Based upon your zip code (which is all I know about you), if he moved to the Mississippi coast he is more convenient to you than many locations in the state (like northern or western Louisiana).
