Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

damage by cable company

I had new siding installed after hurricane katrina. The cable company came to reinstall my lines and dented a corner post of my siding . they are rfusing to pay the 370.00 to replace the post. the tecnician says the damage was already there but the siding was just installed the week before and there was no damage before he started . he leaned his ladder on the siding to reach wires . I have 4 witnesses stating the damage was not there before , the supervisor is taking the tecnicians word that the damage was there before he started and they are refusing the claim . do you think i have a chance in small claims court thank you

Re: damage by cable company

Yes you do.

Bring your receipt showing the siding work was just done. I also reccomend getting the Siding contractor who installed to testify, or at least give a written (notarized is better) statement, showing that the work had just been done and there were no dents.
