Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I am wondering about this situation in which I believe my privacy was invaded in the workplace. First of all I was on my off days and out of town, well I don't know how my District Manager told me someone sent him a facebook message saying I was out of town and where I was and what I was doing, when I asked him about it he refused to tell me how he got it or who sent it to him. I really feel and believe that when I am not on company time, no one should know what I am doing. If you have any information on what can be done I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ron Thomas

I understand your frustration and desire to keep your private life private, but I just don't see any type of actionable invasion of privacy under the facts you describe. Either someone saw you in a public place and told your boss, or you told someone that you were going somewhere and that person told your boss. In either case, there is no invasion of privacy for someone knowing something that was gleaned from publicly available knowledge.
