Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

How long does a person have to keep a piece of property sold in Hammond, LA before he can quick claim it to another person? The property was sold as a short sale.

Usually you would quit claim your interest to someone who also has an interest in a piece of property. So I do not understand what you want to do and why. More information is needed. Why not just sell it to them.....or if appropriate, donate it?
