Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

my fathet just passed and i am unfamiliar will Louisiana state lawd about the will and estate process. his partner claims my father left everything to him but refuses to allow me to view the will. am i able by law to see his will?

Open his succession yourself stating he did not have a will. That is if you are not sure he had one. Then let his partner produce it. Bottom line, the succession has to be open whether there is a will or not. You are an heir, file to opwn it.
