Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Louisiana Resident, Senior Citizen

We have a property that was left by parents. One of our sisters was living in the residents and passed a few years ago(propery was in her name) and we do not have any documents on the property. Recent information states that there is a second morgage on the property. How can we find out who and when this was done? Can one get free legal help from a lawyer if one is over the age of 62?

No as to over 62 lawyer..people over 62 are usually more able to pay than under 62...if you are impoverishe..call local legl aid..But to obtain property in an estate, generally the lawyer must be paid from that..and if in Texas, go thru probate..probably true in LA..call a lawyer..
