Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Trust documents

My father left a trust as my inheritance. The brokerage that handles the investment says that I need a copy of the trust papers. Where would I find these, since I haven't found them among their posessions.

Trust documents are personal and not recorded in the property records. If you cannot find the documents, you will have to prove your right to the inheritance by extrinsic evidence (outside the trust documents). Sounds like a good time to hire a good lawyer. Good Luck.
