i went to smal clames cort and it was postponed so i went to the new date only to find out it was changed whos job was it to call me

It sounds like the date was changed by the Court before the postponed hearing was held. If that is the case the Clerk of the Court should have provided notice to you in advance. Otherwise, the rescheduling of hearing dates can only be by consent of both parties.
