Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland

Can I get compensation?

After properly using a Biore skin product, I developed 3 burns on my face; on my forehead, cheek and chin. The product states that it, ''improves skin texture, fights breakouts all night long, reduces redness, improves overall complexion, makes blemishes visibly smaller, and is gentle enough for daily use.'' I wrote the company and they said that they would refund my money. That is fine, but the product left scars and permanent redness on my chin. This is something that I may have to live with the rest of my life and it embarrasses me. I followed the ''how to use'' directions completely and carefully. My question is do I have the right to receive compensation and if so what kind of compensation is appropriate?

Re: Can I get compensation?

If you have been injured by a defective product then you may be able to recover. Of course, I have many questions as to details. Please do give me a call at your earliest convenience. My firm handles some of the largest and most difficult product liability cases in the country, including for example the Ford "TFI Module" Case, which is currently pending in just about every jurisdiction. In California alone (one state in which that particular case is pending) a plaintiff's verdict will lead to damages in that case in the range of 3 to 5 Billion Dollars.

Of course, that case is a huge class action matter involving the harms suffered by many many people. It gives absolutely no indication as to what you can expect as a recovery in your case if you are entitled to one, but it should give some indication of the level at which my firm is capable of practicing in this area of law.

If you would like a consultation, please feel free to call me at the numbers listed below.

Re: Can I get compensation?

You should be compensated for your loss, and certainly if you have permanent damage such as scarring from a defective product, which you say you used correctly. Products liability law is not my specialty, but I can refer you to someone in Maryland who could represent you effectively. - Michael Worsham, 410-557-6192
