Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

Car Repossesion

I had a vehicle in the state of maryland that was financed and the transmission went on the car I took the car to AAMaco to have it fixed but unable to afford the repairs and due to that I requested for the car to be repossesd. However, the company has not called me back and has listed the car as abandonement and does not want to pick up the car. My question is what do I do now and can they garnish my paycheck becasue of this?

Re: Car Repossesion

They can sue you for the amount due on the car loan. They are not required to repossess.
