Background checks for new employment.

In 2000 I recieved two felony drug charges, in 2002 my lawyer filed a motion for modification and the disposition says: judgement stays(probation before judgement) since then I have had seven un eventful years. I am a executive chef applying for a corporate position. I have been completly honest with them ,will I be seen as a felon? will they hire me? I

The inital charges can be identified through a thorough background check. You should be prepared to discuss this with them should the matter come up.

Probation before judgment is not a conviction where the term of probation was properly served. This is to say that a judgment was not rendered where probation was served.

Whether or not the initial charges show up through the background, you are not a convicted felon. You have been charged with a felonious activity but not convicted. You accepted probation in lieu of conviction.

The company will likely base its hiring decision on your ability and the company's needs. Your skill is what is most important to bringing an offer of employment.
