Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

I was at a friends house when a search and seizure warrant was executed. They listed the found drugs, her money, and electronic devices as being found on my friend on the evidence list. They listed my money and my phone which was the only things I had on me as being on my person on the evidence list. They released all electronic devices back to her and me but they didn't release my $1500. How do I go about getting it back. This occurred in Ceci! County. I understand them keeping her money since she was the subject of the warrant and the renter of the home we were at. Mine though I need. I just got my paycheck and that was my moving money. I was headed to rent a house later that day.

This might be a catch-22. The police will keep your money, unless you claim it, because departments make a lot of money that way. On the other hand, they might be waiting to find out who claims the money, in order to charge them with a crime.
