Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

I was working for this company and they kept thinking I was stealing and started harassing me and trying to find ways to fire me. So when some money was seemingly missing after an audit, they suspended me without pay indefinitely. I have five kids, so that hurt me. So I resigned and began work elsewhere. Now three years later, the FBI shows up at my door, asking me questions about my job and how I did it back then and asked me to take a lie detector test. I agreed at first, but my husband intervened and said no, I didn't have to do anything. What are my rights or what should I do?

You have the right not to speak to anyone whom you do not want to. Remember that the FBI is not there to help you show that you did not commit the crime. ThInstead, they are there to gather evidence to use against you. Consider seeking a confidential consultation with an experienced criminal defense attorney, who can help you evaluate defences and mitigation.
