me and my girlfriend have seperated and we have a son together ,i found out that she is living with a registered sex offender and i know my son has been left alone with him...other than fighting for custody is there anything i can do to keep him from living with my son?

I would recommend filing an emergency petition for temporary custody if you feel that your son's safety is at issue. You will need to present evidence that there is a sex offender living with your son.

As the previous attorney said, the best thing to do is file for a family law emergency in the county in which you reside. Depending on your county, the hearing may take place right away or it could take a week or more to have the hearing.
