Is there a seperation form i need to fill out in order to file for divorce and where can i get one without going to a lawyer and is it a law that we have to be seperated for one year before we can be divorced?

No separation form is needed in order to file for a divorce. You be separated for at least one year before filing for divorce.

No form is required - you are legally separated once you cease cohabitating and having marital relations with your spouse. Voluntary separation for one year is one of several grounds for divorce in Maryland. If fault grounds exist (e.g., adultery, cruelty of treatment), you can file without waiting a year.
