You file a request for documents under Maryland Rule 2-422. You need to study the Maryland Rules and learn how to prepare a pleading using the case name and the format for the rule. If the defendant's attorney has served you with a document request, you can copy that format to prepare your request. You will also need to prepare a pleading entitled "Discovery Certificate" in which you recite when and how you served the defendant's attorney with the document request, which you will then file with the court clerk. Have you explored whether you are financially eligible for a reduced fee or even a pro bono (free) attorney with your county's lawyer referral service or bar association? That would be a very wise thing to do if you want a successful outcome in the litigation.
