Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Stepparent Adoption and Grandparent Visitation

Now that my husband has adopted my son, willingly consented by the biological father, are we now allowed to terminate the paternal grandmother's visitation? If that isn't possible are we able to at least modify the visitation order? Also, what could we do if the paternal grandmother does not follow what was agreed in the order? Thank you.

Re: Stepparent Adoption and Grandparent Visitation

If the grandmother has visitation via a court order, you would have to go back to court seeking termination of her visitation rights. If she has been exercising visitation informally, then its continuance is totally within your hands.
