Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

Hi I am a 17 year old living in Maryland. My parents keep threatening to take me back to Pakistan. Can they legally do that? I know they might be able to since I'm a minor but what if my passport isn't renewed and I have no visa can they still do that? & are they able to just leave me there and come back?

You are looking at different legal issues here. There are U.S. State laws, Federal laws, foreign laws. Assuming you are here as a visitor, or on a dependent non-immigrant visa, then I don't think you have much standing, as a minor. However, once you turn 18, under U.S. law, you are a legal & emancipated adult, so they cannot "force" you to do anything. As for your immigration status at that point, well, that's another story.
