Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

I came to the U.S. as a minor on my parent's passport in the 90s, went to public school, stayed for ~6 years (illegally - we tried to apply for green cards, but had a deceitful lawyer and I doubt an application was submitted) before we left [of our own accord, I think, though I was young and don't actually know]. I've not been back since but have a minor sibling (U.S. by birth) and an uncle (U.S. naturalized). Now, I'm graduating from a non-U.S. medical school and want to gain clinical work/volunteer experience in the U.S. before applying for a U.S. medical residency and living and practicing medicine permanently in the U.S. I don't have a job/clinical experience arranged and think it'd be best and easiest to look for something once I'm there. How should I go about obtaining a visa? Thanks.

Unfortunately, your minor sibling & uncle can't do anything to obtain a non-immigrant or immigrant visa for you. If you are looking for an employment-based non-immigrant visa, you would have to be petitioned by a U.S. employer. I cannot advise you as to how to find a potential employer, though.

The types of employment-based non-immigrant visas are limited, so I suggest you see if there is anything you even qualify for. See: www.uscis.gov & click on the link "working in the U.S.".
