Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

Copyright Infrigement?

I have a copyrighted, published book that includes a mention to a

website I had. While I was the legal owner of the domain nam

name for several years, I let the rights expire. It is now beinng used

by another entity...a professional dominatrix. Do I have any

recourse?

Re: Copyright Infrigement?

Mention in your book does nothing to protect your rights to the domain name. Depending upon circumstances, you might have some recourse if the domain name registrar failed to adhere to its own policies regarding notice of non-renewal and grace periods to reinstate your registration, but you don't provide enough of the history of events for additional advice.

Best wishes,
