Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Maryland

Is it too late to sue for a medical procedure (lasik) that was performed 10 years ago that now may be the cause of eye nerve damage that caused blindness, IF now new information can prove that the procedure causes the damage?

The Statute of Limitations is "tolled" if you had no inkling that the medical ie. lasik procedure done 10 years ago is the cause of the nerve damage presently threatening you with blindness. Once you knew or should have known that the lasic procedure COULD have been the cause - the 3 year statute begins to run again.

I see by your zip code that you are in Riverdale Park, Md. Our office is nearby in Greenbelt, Md. Please contact me if you have any further questions in this regard or would like to schedule a free appointment.

Very truly yours,
