Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

A slip and fall inj left me with a perm limp,a plate and my leg and a range of 10 deg of motion in my right ankle. My lawyer says the insurance comp has yet to deny or accept responsibiity. Should I be looking to a new lawyer? They lawyer's paralegal also told me she was unaware of how much care I had @ a local hospital, this made me leary of their techniques and how much they value me as a client? What should I do?

Speak to the attorney directly. Generally your medical records and bills are requested after you complete treatment. This might take some time, but that will let your lawyer know what kind of treatment you got, which makes the paralegal's statement a bit odd. The insurance co will likely do their own investigation before responding to the demand. Ask if a demand letter was sent and request a copy if you want. If you are still not satisfied with the lawyer, you have the right to fire them and hire a new one but check your retainer to see how much they are going to owe you. Let me know if I can be of assistance. Regards,

You don't mention when your injury occurred. Nor have you discussed your slip and fall injury.
