apt. rental

Im being tranfered 70 miles away with my company is there a law that allows me to break my lease???

There's no such law. If you give your landlord enough notice, they will be obligated to try and find a replacement tenant, which hopefully will limit your losses. Check your lease--there may be a provision which allows you to sublease, subject to the landlord's approval. You should also see if your company will defray your expense in view of the transfer.
