Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

My mother, whom I have lived with all my life, wants to evict me. I have lived in the house for 42 years. My father built this house for me, too. I believe I am just as entitled to live here as she is. What would the courts say about this? Please, a proper answer would suffice and not a "you should talk to an attorney" and happen to provide you name and number.

Legally, what matters is who owns the house. I take it your father has passed. Did he leave it to you in his will or deed it to you? If you don't know, you need to research the title to the property.

If you own it, you are entitled to live there. If not, you aren't.
