Widow's responsibility
Is a widow responsible for her deceased husband's credit card debt if the credit card is in his name only/

No, but the husband's estate is responsible for the debt if the credit card company timely files a claim, which they will likely do. If the widow is a beneficiary of the husband's estate, which usually is the case, to a certain extent it'll come out in the wash anyway.
