Medical Drug Volunteer any for claim worker's compensation?

If a volunteer to a new medical drug slips and injures self, does the volunteer have a claim to worker's compensation?

There are no Maryland cases on this issue. Are there any states with similar cases?

Volunteers are not employees within the meaning of the workers' compensation statute, and therefore you wouldn't be entitled to this coverage. If your injury was due to a defective condition that should have been corrected by the facility, you may have a negligence claim.
