Legal Question in Medical Leave in Massachusetts

Fmla -

Relating to intermittent leave for care of a child with a serious and chronic health condition.

An employee has to take child to the hospital for an emergency related to an FMLA approved condition. It was at nigh and he did not get any sleep causing him to miss work the next day.

Does this qualify for FMLA time off?

Re: Fmla -

No. Although you are entitled to leave to care for the child (with as much notice to the employer as possible) the FMLA does not allow for time off to sleep after a medical visit.
