Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Massachusetts

Public Record of 1991 bankruptcy

At the time when I filed bankruptcy (1991) bankruptcy was a public record for only 7 years, now its 10. Can my record be cleared under an old regulation?

Re: Public Record of 1991 bankruptcy

You are mistaken - Bankruptcy always has remained on your credit record for ten (10) years at least as long as I have practiced law - since 1978. I do not know why everyone seems to think that seven (7) years is the magical number - although you can file for bankruptcy every six (6) years.
