i will file for bankruptcy soon, my question is...if i sell my house, can i buy another one ?

Yes, although probably not for a few years. Bankruptcy can stay on your credit report for 10 years. It does NOT prevent you from getting credit, but it probably will mean that the credit you get will be more expensive (that is, a higher interest rate). Depending on what kind of bankruptcy you file, you may need the bankruptcy judge's permission to sell, if you sell during the case. Be sure you have an attorney help you with the bankruptcy, because a bankruptcy case is not for amateurs!
