Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts

I would like to know what I should of expected when being told ''not working out'' after working for 16 months in a position. I did not receive a termination letter nor any of my wages owed and accrued vacation time....I was told by others that I should of received at time of termination..

Unless you have a written contract that says otherwise, most employees in Massachusetts can be fired at will. However, upon termination, the employer must pay all wages that were earned including earned vacation time, etc. The Employer also has to pay any money the employer is holding for benefits that were withheld from the employer but were not paid for the benefits. You should contact a lawyer to discuss your particular situation. You can also contact the state non-payment of wages office.

You should have been paid upon termination all wages owed including accrued vacation pay. Depending upon the number of emp;oyees and benefits offered you are also entitled to a COBRA statement.

You should contact an attorney ASAP.
