I want to get my name off the house but my ex husband doesnt quailify for loan in his name, is there another way to get my name off the loan? bank wont do it since she cant get a loan in her name so i am stuck, but i want my name off loan so I can go buy my own house

There are a couple things you can do:

1. You can refinance the loan into your husband's sole name and transfer ownership in the property to him. It sounds like you have tried this and it will not work.

2. Bring a petition to partition for property in court. You will be asking the court to force the sale of the home and divide the proceeds, if any, equitably. If your ex-husband does not wish to lose the house, he is free to buy it.

Obviously, the terms of your divorce judgment will come into play here. You should speak with an attorney.
