unlawful entry from a cop

me and my girl got into a argument the naughbor called the cops i left she went inside and locked the doors the cops came banging then the broke in is this legal?

Yes.

Police may enter under EXIGENT circumstances, that is, if they believe a crime

-- has just been committed,

-- is being committed, or

-- is about to be committed.

Here they clearly thought someone had been or was about to be injured.
