Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Massachusetts

massachusetts new marijuana laws

Situation:

I get pulled over for speeding in massachusetts, and the cop sees a pipe in the back seat when he shines his flashlight through my car. He then makes me step out of the car and put my hands on his hood, while he procedes to search the vehicle. He finds a 30 rack in the trunk. Did he have probable cause? (new marijuana laws makes possession of under an ounce the equivalent of a traffic violation)

Re: massachusetts new marijuana laws

It depends. The situation requires additional facts to give an intelligent response, including (among other things) explanation of the term "30 rack" for those of us not certain about what that is (a 30 pack of beer, I suppose?).

Feel free to contact this office directly for a free initial office consultation, without obligation, to discuss your situation in detail and assess your prospects for moving forward with a defense (I assume you were arrested).
