Re: roof ,constuction

Often roof work, and/or the roofing materials themselves, are covered for defects by an express warranty, relating by its terms either to the roofing materials used, the workmanship, or both. While roof materials warranties generally apply for longer than two years, your rights depend on the specific terms of any such existing and applicable warranties.

If you did not obtain actual warranties relating to the materials or the workmanship, you may still have claims for breach of certain "implied" warranties, but this analysis depends entirely on the specific facts involved.

If you would like to discuss your rights and/or options in this regard further, feel free to contact me for a free initial (in person) consultation.

Generally, the work is warranted against defects, but without reading the contract it is difficult to determine your rights. I suggest that you contact a lawyer that specializes in construction law.
