Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

I got taken to court for a credit card that got charged off. I have been making my payments up to this point. I went to make my payment yesterday and they told me my case was sold back to CCR Trust 2009. Why would they close my case ? All I have left to pay is 304.93. Where can I make my payments now I don't want to go back to court. What happens now. I tried to get a phone number but there is nothing out there for this company and I tried calling creditor they say they cant help.

- Where did you go to make a payment, only to learn that the "case" was sold back? (I'm having trouble imagining a local office to drop off a payment.)

Assuming that the company that sued you (1) holds the judgment against you and (2) authorized some local place to make payments, the sale of the "case" does not change the judgment. Your payment cannot be refused. You may have redress for the refusal and you must worry about your credit report. I can advise you on all of this.
