Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Massachusetts

Hello,

I have a boat loan with my ex boyfriend and this boat loan is about 6 years old. He has never paid it on time and has distroyed my credit. He continues to pay it every two to three months and I can't help him even if I tried. I understand it's my reponsiblity yes, but, I can't pay it and neither can he.

Can I take him to court to make him sell the boat?? He says he will not sell it. I can't afford to have this continue for the next five years... That's how long if not longer before he pays it off... I would think with all the late fees he has wracked up with the bank. The banks says I can't do anything unless it's sold.

The balance on the boat loan is about $6,000 and he will take years to pay it off... Can I make him sell the boat?? Please help!!

He is killing my credit and will continue to do so if I don't do something...

Please offer some advice on what I should do....

Retain an attorney to review the documents you signed and to advise as to your right to take the ex boyfriend to court, if necessary, to recover what you have paid. Good Luck!
