Can i sue a person for money he owes on a loan i cosighned?

Thank you for your question.

Yes, you most likely can sue the other person under the equitable count of contribution. As between you and the lender, you are responsible for the entirety of the loan. As between you and your co-borrower, there may be some other arrangement. This is not an easy situation, and you may want to retain counsel depending on the size of the loan obligation.
