Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

I am a 50 year old male who was at a friends house where said friends wife was a little intoxicated and was trying to engage me into some kind of fight or wrestling match she began kicking me; I believe she just wanted to play fight however, I told her multiple times to stop she continued to kick me so I slapped her playfully and told her again "I don't want to fight with you please stop". At this point she seemed irrate and proceeded to charge at me so I grabbed her and spun her around; with my arm around her I said "will you stop now" at which point she agreed to stop. In the process of protecting myself , when I grabbed her I tore my rotator cuff and bicep mucle. I had to undergo surgery and will be out of work for four months.

Do I have any legal foot to stand on for pursuing her to pay my out of pocket expenses, lost wages, etc.?
