Crimina law (misdemeanor)

In a police initiated district court complaint NOT involving an arrest, am I allowed to be present at a show cause hearing before an arraignment?

Not if the complaint already issued. But you should consider retaining an attorney to file a motion requesting it be remanded to the clerk-magistrate for a show cause hearing. Good Luck!

If one is scheduled, you should have been invited, assuming they had your address.

Not if the complaint already issed. You can request that it be remanded back for a show cause hearing by motion, which the judge may or may not grant. You will have to provide him reason in your motion. This is not the type of thing typically done by a pro se (without counsel) defendant. You should probably hire an attorney that will know how to best handle your situation.
