Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

falsley accused

my girlfriend falsley accused me of assault and battery.now they are also charging me with kidnapping.she told the ADA I did not hold her against her will.and that she lied about the assault. She doesn't even live in massachusetts they summons her to her old address in massachusetts to attend a probable cause hearing for the kidnapping. She is not going and sent a letter signed under the paines and penalties of perjury to the ada stating that she lied. What are the chances the charges for the kidnapping could get dropped at the hearing? My lawyer said it could go either way dismissal or another date. How could they put it on for another date when the only witness isn't in the state of massachusetts?Stated that she lied. Please help me

Re: falsley accused

Why aren't you asking your lawyer these same questions? Without knowing more about the facts of the case and the evidence that exists with or without your girlfriend's testimony, it is impossible for me to tell you what may or will happen. Your lawyer should be able to explain the procedure and his or her strategies to you. Sorry that I can not be of more help, please contact me further if you wish. Martha Kovner
