Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Out of nowhere I was handed a restraining order. Two days later I was thrown in jail for "violating the restraining order". The DAY AFTER that I was in court with my attorney for an emergency hearing, my accuser was called into court and asked to explain the restraining order and her sworn statement saying I was on her property in violation of the order, when I had video proof and witnesses (to include my supervisor placing me 60 miles away. The restraining order was quashed. MY QUESTION: why wasn't my accuser put in handcuffs, thrown in jail, and charged with a crime? Seems to be a double standard.

Sounds like you may have the basis for a defamation lawsuit.
